Key Applications

Architectural paints
Architectural or decorative paints are applied outdoors on facades of building or indoors. Requirements are different: the facade coatings need to be weather resistant, colourfast and protected against microbial growth, whereas indoor applications require low emission, easy to apply coatings.

Automotive & transportation
Good protection, high brilliance and colour fastness over a long period of time and under various climatic conditions as well as a broad spectrum of colours and effects are key requirements for automotive and transportation coatings. In addition, fire retandency and easy cleaning are often desired.

Construction chemical products
Raw materials for construction chemical products enhance pasty systems, such as building waterproofing and sealing, and dry cementitious and gypsum-based systems, such as tile and building adhesives, plasters and fillers and levelling compounds. Cellulose ethers and liquid and powdered water-soluble polymers are used to achieve the processing and final properties.

Industrial coatings
Durable coatings with chemical and weathering resistance are needed to keep metal surfaces intact for extended periods. Excellent corrosion protection in harsh enviroments are essential for marine and protective coatings.

Printing inks
Modern formulations optimise performance, aesthetics and durability of printing inks. Special resins, additives and effect pigments were developed to work specifically in solvent and water borne printing ink systems.

Wood coatings
Paints and coatings protect wood and enhance its natural look. Producers of furniture and flooring coatings aim to preserve the beauty of coated wood economically efficient. UV curing systems offer a viable option for fast processing.
